Theme: Desire, relationships, power, attachment, self-worth
Energy insight: “Sometimes you don’t miss the person. You miss how they made you feel, what they represented, or who you were when you were with them.”
This is arguably the defining day of October.
Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio, beginning a six-week review of love, relationships, attraction, pleasure, money, self-worth, and what we genuinely value.
Scorpio takes that review somewhere deeper. It brings intimacy, sexuality, trust, jealousy, attachment, fear of abandonment, control, emotional vulnerability, and shared resources into the conversation.
At the same time, Mars in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius, intensifying themes around power, control, ego, desire, and will.
Something you thought you were finished with may suddenly have emotional charge again. An old relationship could cross your mind. A current relationship might expose a dynamic you have avoided confronting. A desire you thought you had outgrown may return.
But Venus retrograde does not necessarily say:
“Go back.”
It says:
“Look again.”
There is a huge difference.
Real-life integration
Notice what creates a disproportionately strong emotional response.
Jealousy, obsession, possessiveness, validation-seeking, or fear of losing someone can reveal something deeper than the immediate situation.
Ask yourself:
Do I actually want this—or do I want what getting it would prove about my worth?
Do
✔ Observe attachment patterns before acting on them.
✔ Reconsider what you genuinely want from love, sex, and relationships.
✔ Pay attention to subtle power and control dynamics.
Don’t
✘ Automatically return to someone simply because they reappear.
✘ Use sex, silence, jealousy, or attention as leverage.
✘ Treat emotional intensity as automatic proof of compatibility.
